American Airlines to Start Scheduled Flights With Its New Airbus A321 neo Aircraft
Saturday, April 13, 2019
American Airlines has said that enhanced passenger comfort and convenience remains its top priority, and will soon launch scheduled flights with new Airbus A321neo aircraft. Earlier, the airline had placed order for 100 new Airbus A321 neo aircrafts, and the first one it had received is being deployed into active service.
The exquisite cabin interior and larger Airspace XL overhead luggage bins have been designed to provide more comfort and convenience to the passengers.
American Airlines will be the launch customer for the Airspace XL bins, which will increase overhead storage space by over 40 percent in the 196-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Additionally, American Airlines is also planning to retrofit all of its Airbus A321 models comprising more than 200 aircrafts on the similar lines of its new A321neos.
The current overhead bins accommodate three bags. The larger Airspace XL bins will now have the capacity to accommodate up to four bags. The cabin layout will offer more legroom.
The A321neo, which is the largest member of the A320 family, has been designed to conduct lengthy over water flights. It has the capacity of seating up to 240 passengers, depending on cabin configuration. Among other features include free wireless in-flight entertainment system and LED mood lighting.
American Airlines is planning to deploy the new Airbus A321neo on its densely travelled routes such as West Coast hubs to Hawaii, or Phoenix and Los Angeles to Orlando.
