Best time to sail
Hawaii cruises operate year-round because the islands stay warm, typically in the high 70s to mid 80s Fahrenheit. The driest, calmest months run from April through October. Winter brings more rain on windward coasts and big surf on the north shores, but it is also humpback whale season, roughly December through April, when whales are commonly seen from the deck off Maui. Spring and fall shoulder months combine pleasant weather with lighter crowds. If you are tied to school holidays, book early because summer and the December holidays sell out first.
