This hub covers every cruise region we plan: the Caribbean and Bahamas from Florida and Texas, Alaska from Seattle and Vancouver, the Mexican Riviera from Los Angeles, the Mediterranean, Bermuda and New England, plus river, expedition and world sailings. Browse the destination pages below, then call to compare cruise packages by ship, date and cabin.
Why a cruise for your vacation
A cruise is the easiest way to see several destinations while unpacking once. Meals, entertainment and most onboard activities are bundled into the fare, and the ship moves overnight so every morning brings a new port. Cruise packages suit first-time travelers, multigenerational families and anyone who dislikes changing hotels.
Warm-water sailings are the most popular: Caribbean Cruises and short Bahamas Cruises leave from Florida almost daily, while Mexican Riviera Cruises sail from Los Angeles. For scenery, Alaska Cruises and Norwegian Fjords Cruises pass glaciers and fjords. Culture-focused travelers choose Mediterranean Cruises, Greek Isles Cruises and European River Cruises, which dock in the center of historic cities.
What's included in a cruise package
- Round-trip flights on major airlines to the embarkation city, arriving the day before sailing
- Your cruise fare on leading cruise lines, in the stateroom category you choose, with main dining, buffets, shows and pool decks included
- A pre-cruise hotel night near the port, breakfast included or room only
- Transfers between the airport, hotel and cruise terminal, and back on disembarkation day
- Optional shore excursions, beverage packages, specialty dining and travel protection quoted alongside the fare
- A dedicated agent who handles cabin changes, flight adjustments and questions before and during the trip
Best time to cruise
The Caribbean and Bahamas sail year-round. December through April brings the driest weather and the highest demand, especially over the holidays and spring break. Hurricane season runs June through November, peaking August through October; ships reroute around weather, and late summer fares are usually softer. The Alaska season runs May through September, with June through August warmest and busiest and May and September quieter and cooler.
The Mediterranean season runs April through October; May, June, September and early October offer warm seas and manageable crowds, while July and August are hot and crowded in the big ports. Bermuda sails April through October from the Northeast, New England foliage peaks in late September and October, and European river cruising runs March through December. Panama Canal, Antarctica and South Pacific voyages cluster in the Northern Hemisphere winter.
Where to stay: areas and resort styles
On board, the stateroom is your resort. Interior cabins are the most economical and suit travelers who spend their days ashore. Ocean-view cabins add a window, balcony cabins add private outdoor space that is especially worthwhile in Alaska, and suites add space, priority boarding and often a private restaurant. Families book connecting cabins, and solo travelers can ask about single studios on newer ships.
For the pre-cruise night, we book hotels close to the pier. In Miami that means downtown or Brickell, or the beach if you want an extra vacation day. Fort Lauderdale hotels sit minutes from the terminal along the beach and 17th Street. Port Canaveral travelers usually stay in Cocoa Beach or near Orlando, and Galveston offers seawall hotels a short drive from the pier. Seattle sailings pair with a downtown waterfront hotel, Los Angeles cruises depart from San Pedro and Long Beach, and New York area ships leave from Manhattan and Bayonne. For Alaska, Vancouver's Canada Place sits beside the terminal, while one-way Seward itineraries begin or end near Anchorage.
Things to do on a cruise vacation
- Snorkel, sail and beach-hop across the Caribbean, with private-island days on many Bahamas itineraries
- Watch calving glaciers, spot whales and ride the scenic railway in Alaska
- Walk ancient sites and island villages on Mediterranean and Greek Isles calls
- Transit the locks on Panama Canal Cruises
- Island-hop the Hawaiian chain on Hawaii Cruises
- Enjoy pink-sand beaches on multi-day port stays with Bermuda Cruises
- See fall color and lighthouses on Canada & New England Cruises
- Take expedition landings on Galápagos Cruises or Antarctica Cruises
- Cross the ocean slowly on Transatlantic Cruises or sail for months on World Cruises
Getting there from the US
Most sailings leave from US home ports, so the flight is domestic. Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral are roughly 2.5–3 hours nonstop from New York and 5–6 hours from the West Coast; Galveston is served through Houston; Seattle and Los Angeles are 5–6 hours from East Coast gateways. Mediterranean cruises usually begin in Barcelona, Rome or Venice, roughly 8–9 hours nonstop from the East Coast. Our cruise packages always fly you in the day before.
For closed-loop cruises that begin and end at the same US port, US citizens can technically sail with a birth certificate plus government-issued photo ID, but a valid passport is strongly recommended and is required for any itinerary that starts or ends abroad, including one-way Alaska cruises through Vancouver or Seward. Verify entry requirements for every port before travel. Onboard purchases are in US dollars on most ships, English is the working language, and the ship's clock is set daily.
Who this package suits
Couples and honeymooners like balcony cabins, adults-only decks and specialty dining. Families get kids' clubs, pools and multiple dining venues within one fare. Seniors appreciate accessible cabins and staffed excursions; ask about senior travel reservations. Reunions, weddings and church groups get cabins blocked together and coordinated group travel flights. For longer flights to Europe or Alaska, we price business class and first class upgrades with the package.
