Allegiant Airlines Pet Travel

Eligibility for Pet Travel

• Accepted Pets:Cats and dogs are permitted in the cabin. Other animals, including exotic pets, are not allowed.
• Number of Pets:Passengers can bring one pet carrier per person, with up to two pets of the same species in one carrier.
• Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to travel.

Pet carrier requirements

• Size: The carrier must fit under the seat in front of you. Maximum dimensions are 9" H x 16" W x 19" D.
• Type: The carrier must be leak-proof, well-ventilated, and comfortable for the pet. Soft-sided and hard-sided carriers are both acceptable.
• Safety: Pets must remain inside the carrier throughout the journey, including during boarding, flight, and deplaning.

Fees for pet travel

• Allegiant Airlines charges a $50 fee per segment per carrier for pet travel.
• Fees are non-refundable and must be paid at the time of booking.

Booking process for Pets

• Passengers must add a pet to their booking in advance through the Manage Travel section on Allegiant's website or by calling customer service.
• Pets are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, as space is limited.

Additional information

• Service animals are not considered pets and follow a different policy. Documentation may be required for emotional support animals or service animals.
• Pets are not allowed on international flights.

Prohibited Situations

• Pets cannot travel in the cargo hold or as checked baggage.
