Singapore Airlines Pet Policy

Singapore Airlines provides clear guidelines to ensure pets' safe and comfortable travel, either as checked baggage or through Singapore Airlines Cargo.

Key Highlights of the Pet Policy
  1. Pet Transportation Options:
    • Pets, including dogs and cats, may travel as checked baggage or cargo.
    • Pets are not allowed in the cabin, except for service animals.
  2. Traveling with Multiple Pets:
    1. If traveling with more than one pet, each must be housed in a separate container.
    2. However, puppies or kittens from the same litter can occupy the same container if they:
      • Are between three to six months of age and
      • Weigh less than 14kg each.
    3. A maximum of two puppies or kittens is allowed per container.
  3. Crate Requirements:
    1. Pets must be housed in IATA-compliant crates that are secure, well-ventilated, and appropriately sized.
    2. Crates should enable pets to stand, turn, and lie down comfortably.
  4. Documentation Requirements:
    1. A valid health certificate, vaccination records, and import/export permits are mandatory based on the destination.
  5. Fees and Booking:
    1. Charges depend on the combined weight of the pet and its crate.
    2. Passengers must contact Singapore Airlines reservations at least two weeks before the flight to confirm arrangements.
