How does Frontier seating work?
Frontier Airlines seat assignment lets you pick a seat during booking or check-in. Otherwise, a random seat is assigned for free, though your group may be split. Here's how it works:
➤ Choose your seat early: During flight booking on their website or app, you can pay to select your preferred seat type—Standard, Preferred, Premium, or UpFront Plus. The best part? You can view the Frontier flight seating chart online to choose the best seat for comfort and convenience before your flight.
➤ Bundle options help you save: Booking with an Economy, Premium, or Business bundle often includes a seat assignment at no extra cost.
➤ Skip seat selection? If you don't select a seat in advance, Frontier Airlines will assign one randomly for free at check-in. However, you may not be seated with your travel companions.
➤ Check in and select late (if needed): You can still select or upgrade your seat when checking in (starting 24 hours before your flight) through the app or website.
➤ Upgrade for more comfort: Use the "Manage Trip" section to upgrade to Premium or UpFront Plus, if available, for extra legroom or a front-row experience.
➤ Traveling with kids? If your Frontier Airlines reservation includes children under 13, Frontier guarantees adjacent seats for at least one adult and the child, free of charge, based on availability.
Fond Tip: To upgrade your seat on Frontier, check in via the app, go to "Manage," tap "Add seats," and choose any available UpFront Plus or Premium option.
