Best time to visit St. Kitts and Nevis

Both islands have a tropical climate with daytime highs in the low to mid 80s Fahrenheit all year, cooled by trade winds. The dry season from December through April is peak season, with the least rain and the national festival season, Sugar Mas, running from late December into early January. May and June are warm, quiet shoulder months, and the St. Kitts music festival in late June draws international performers. July through November is the wetter season with brief showers; hurricane season runs June through November, with the highest risk from August to October, so we recommend travel protection then. The islands stay on Atlantic Standard Time year-round, one hour ahead of the East Coast in winter and level with it in summer.

On St. Kitts, Frigate Bay is the main resort area, with a Caribbean-side beach lined with bars known as The Strip and a wilder Atlantic side; it holds the island's largest resorts, condos and golf course.
