Carry-on bags
Avelo Airlines allows one personal item and one carry-on bag. The personal item should be no larger than 17″L x 13″H x 9″W (43 cm x 33 cm x 22 cm) and can include items like a purse, briefcase, or small backpack.
- Carry-on Bag Dimensions: Your carry-on must be no larger than 22″L x 14″H x 9″W (55 cm x 35 cm x 22 cm) and fit into the overhead bin.
- Avelo Airlines Baggage Fees: A carry-on bag is available for a fee, and additional fees apply if not pre-purchased during your reservation.
- Military Members: Active-duty military members can bring one carry-on bag free of charge.
- Assistive Devices: Manual wheelchairs, mobility aids, and medical devices do not count against your carry-on allowance.
Checked bags
When traveling with more luggage, Avelo Airlines allows checked bags with specific weight and size limits.

- Additional Fee: There is an additional fee of $100 for oversized baggage that falls between 62 and 80 inches (158 cm to 203 cm).
- Weight Limit: Avelo allows checked bags up to 50 lbs (22 kg). Any bag weighing more than this is considered overweight.
- Additional Fee: Overweight bags (weighing between 51 to 70 lbs) will incur an additional fee of $100.
- Fee for Both: If your checked bag exceeds both the size and weight limit (over 62 inches and 50 lbs), you will incur both the $100 overweight fee and the $100 oversized fee for a total of $200.
- Maximum Size: Bags exceeding 80 inches (203 cm) in total dimensions (length + width + height) or 70 lbs (31 kg) in weight will not be accepted for transport.
Avelo Airlines also accommodates special items like musical instruments and sports equipment. If these items exceed normal carry-on dimensions, a separate reservation must be made for them.
