Avelo Airlines Cancellation & Refund

Avelo Airlines' cancellation policy (as of 03 February 2025) allows you to cancel flights up to 15 minutes before your scheduled departure.

• Cancellation Fees: An Avelo cancellation fee of $25 per seated traveler applies to canceled reservations.
• Avelo Travel Funds: For most cancellations, you'll receive Avelo Travel Funds, which can be used toward future flights.
• Special Cancellation Window: If you cancel within 24 hours of booking and at least 7 days before the scheduled departure, you'll receive a refund to the original form of payment.

How to Cancel Your Flight:

1. Visit Manage Trips on the Avelo website or app.
2. Click on the 'Cancel Flight' button.
3. Confirm the cancellation by clicking 'Yes,' then click 'Cancel Trip'.
4. You'll see a 'Success!' message confirming your cancellation.

Avelo Airlines Refunds

Avelo Airlines' refund policy varies by the time of cancellation. Passengers can request refunds by filling out the Avelo Airlines refund form. Here's what you will receive-

• Full Refunds: If you cancel within 24 hours of booking and at least7 days prior to departure, you'll receive a refund to your original payment method.
• Travel Funds: If canceled after 24 hours or less than 7 days before departure, you will receive Avelo Travel Funds. These funds can be used for future Avelo flights.

Avelo Airlines missed the flight policy

If you miss your flight, Avelo provides assistance depending on the cause of the delay or cancellation.

Controllable Events

In the event of a missed flight due to something within Avelo's control (e.g., mechanical issues, crew availability), the airline offers compensation based on the delay duration:

• 2 hours or less delay: No compensation.
• 2 to 5 hours+ delay: The compensation amount ranges from $25-$50 Avelo Travel Fund per customer. You may also be eligible for rebooking or refunds.

If Avelo cancels or delays a flight overnight, non-local passengers are eligible for hotel accommodations up to $150 per night.

Uncontrollable Events

If the missed flight is due to uncontrollable events such as weather or air traffic control restrictions, Avelo does not provide compensation or accommodations. However, passengers can:

• Rebook: You can be rebooked on the next available Avelo flight to your destination at no additional cost.
• Refund or Travel Funds: Request a refund or Avelo Travel Funds for the unused portion of your reservation.

Please note that Avelo is not able to rebook passengers on other airlines or compensate for any fare differences due to uncontrollable events.

Avelo Airlines' hold flight

If you find a great fare but need more time to decide, Avelo offers a Price Lock feature.

How Avelo Price Lock Works:

• Hold the fare for 72 hours (3 days) With a non-refundable fee.
• Availability: Price Lock is available for flights at least 21 days before departure.
• Process: Add a Price Lock during the booking process on the Avelo website or app.
• After 72 hours Complete your payment and confirm your booking.

Please note Price Lock is not applicable toward the reservation total and is charged per traveler.
