Best time to visit Belgium

Belgium has a mild maritime climate with cool summers, chilly winters and rain possible in any month. April through June and September through October are the sweet spots, with pleasant temperatures, blooming parks or autumn color and lighter crowds in Bruges. July and August are the warmest and busiest months, when Bruges fills with day-trippers, so staying overnight is the best way to see the canals quietly.
