Best time to visit the Maldives
The Maldives is warm year-round, with highs in the mid to upper 80s Fahrenheit and water temperatures near 84°F. The dry season from November through April brings the calmest seas, clearest visibility and most sunshine, with December through March the peak for demand and the Christmas and New Year period the busiest of all. The wetter season from May through October brings more wind, passing showers and occasional cloudy days, but also long sunny spells, better resort availability and the best manta ray season in Baa Atoll from June through November. Surfing peaks from April to October on the eastern reefs. The Maldives is on UTC+5, nine to ten hours ahead of US Eastern Time, and some resorts run their clocks an hour ahead for extra daylight.
