Assalamu Alaikum. A Hajj package from the USA with Fond Travels covers the travel side of the pilgrimage: round-trip flights from your home airport to Jeddah or Madinah timed to the Hajj calendar, hotels near Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and near the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah for the days before and after the rites, ground transfers, and clear guidance on the Nusuk Hajj registration that US pilgrims use to secure their place with a licensed provider. A real travel expert plans it with you and books it by phone: call +1 (323) 800 6001, 24 hours a day, tell us your city, your group and where you are in the registration process, and we take it from there. Hajj 2027 is expected around May 14 to 19, 2027; this page explains what a package includes, how the journey works from each major US airport, the 2027 timeline and the documents you need.

What is included in a Hajj package from the USA

Hajj is different from any other trip: the rites, the camps at Mina and Arafat, and the permits are handled by licensed Hajj providers under the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and US pilgrims book their place through the official Nusuk Hajj system. Our role is to make the travel around that provider's program work for you and your family. A typical Hajj package we coordinate by phone includes:

  • Flights from your US airport to Jeddah (JED) or Madinah (MED), timed to your provider's arrival window and to the return date after the days of Tashreeq, with routings compared for total journey time and comfort.
  • Hotels in Makkah near the Haram for the nights before the pilgrims move to Mina, chosen by walking distance rather than by brand.
  • Hotels in Madinah near the Prophet's Mosque, for a Madinah stay before or after the Hajj days depending on the program.
  • Ground transfers on arrival and departure, and between Madinah and Makkah by private vehicle or the high-speed train, coordinated with the provider's schedule.
  • Registration and visa guidance: how the Nusuk Hajj platform works for pilgrims from the United States, what documents to upload, how payment is made inside the platform, and what to expect between registration and confirmation.
  • Group or private options: a community or mosque group traveling together on the same flights, or a family or couple traveling on their own dates around the provider's program.
  • Assistance requests for seniors and anyone with mobility or medical needs, noted on every flight and shared with the provider.
  • One US number answered 24/7 before the journey and while you are away.

Optional additions include a ziyarat program in Madinah, extra nights in either city before or after the Hajj days, a stopover in the connecting city on the way home, and travel protection.

Which airport are you flying from?

Hajj flights are the most time-sensitive bookings of the year. Seats to Jeddah and Madinah in the ten days before 8 Dhul Hijjah are limited, arrivals are governed by the provider's schedule and the Hajj visa's entry dates, and return flights after Eid fill quickly. Here is how the journey typically works from the eight departure points we book most. All times are approximate and depend on the schedule for your dates.

New York (JFK / EWR)

New York pilgrims have the shortest route: nonstop service between JFK and Jeddah has operated for several years at roughly twelve hours, and it is the first flight to fill in Hajj week. One-stop alternatives from JFK and Newark connect through Istanbul, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi or a European city such as London or Frankfurt, in fifteen to nineteen hours. When the nonstop is full, groups often prefer a one-stop routing that keeps the whole party on the same aircraft.

Washington, DC (IAD)

Dulles has had nonstop service to Riyadh, with a domestic connection to Jeddah or Madinah on the same ticket. Most Hajj travelers from Virginia, Maryland and DC fly one stop through Istanbul, Doha or Dubai directly into Jeddah, in about sixteen to nineteen hours. Our office is in Woodbridge, Virginia, and Dulles is the airport we book more Hajj groups from than any other; we can meet local group leaders in person to collect passport details and go over the timeline.

Chicago (ORD)

Every routing from Chicago has one stop, most commonly through Istanbul, Doha, Dubai or Abu Dhabi, with London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam as European alternatives, for a total of seventeen to twenty hours. Chicago sends some of the largest US Hajj groups each year; we block seats early so a mosque group of twenty or thirty arrives and returns together.

Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW)

DFW connects to Jeddah with one stop through Doha, Dubai, Istanbul or Abu Dhabi, in about eighteen to twenty-one hours. Gulf connections usually arrive in Jeddah in the evening, which works well when the provider's transfer to Makkah or Aziziyah is scheduled for the same night. Texas groups often pair a Madinah arrival with a Jeddah departure.

Houston (IAH)

Houston has convenient one-stop service through Doha, Dubai and Istanbul, reaching Jeddah or Madinah in roughly eighteen to twenty hours. With Hajj in mid-May in 2027, Houston families often time the return around the end of the school year; tell us your constraints and we will work around them.

Los Angeles (LAX)

Los Angeles has had nonstop service to Jeddah in some seasons, at about sixteen hours; when it is not operating, one-stop routings through Doha, Dubai, Istanbul or a European city take twenty to twenty-three hours. Before physically demanding days, many West Coast pilgrims choose an evening departure and compare cabin options for the outbound leg; we also plan for the ihram change at the connecting airport or on board.

Detroit (DTW)

Detroit and Dearborn pilgrims fly one stop through Istanbul, Doha, Dubai or Amsterdam, in about seventeen to twenty hours. Michigan groups are often large and multigenerational; we coordinate wheelchair assistance for elders, seat families together and keep the group's return on one flight.

Atlanta (ATL)

Atlanta connects to Jeddah and Madinah with one stop, typically through Doha, Dubai, Istanbul or Paris, in roughly seventeen to twenty hours. Nonstop service between Atlanta and Riyadh has been scheduled to begin in late 2026, which would add a short domestic connection to Jeddah; ask the expert what is operating for Hajj 2027. Pilgrims across the Southeast often start from Atlanta.

Hajj visa, Nusuk registration and documents

Hajj travel from the United States is arranged through official channels, and the details are set by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, not by any travel agency. Here is how it has worked in recent seasons; confirm the current rules with the expert when you call.

  • Nusuk Hajj. Pilgrims from the United States, as a country without a government Hajj mission, have registered directly on the Nusuk Hajj platform, the Ministry's official system, and chosen a package operated by a licensed Saudi service provider. Registering does not by itself confirm a place; confirmation follows document verification, package selection and payment.
  • Payment. Package payments for Nusuk Hajj have been made inside the pilgrim's own Nusuk account, by card or bank transfer, on the platform's schedule. Be cautious of anyone asking you to wire Hajj package money to an individual.
  • Hajj visa. Issued through the Nusuk process once the package is confirmed; it is valid only for the Hajj period and only for the pilgrimage. It is not a tourist or business visa.
  • Passport. Valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates, with blank pages. Check this before anything else; renewals take weeks.
  • Vaccinations. A quadrivalent meningococcal (ACWY) vaccination has been required for Hajj pilgrims, given at least ten days before arrival, with the certificate carried in your documents. Other seasonal requirements can apply; your doctor can advise.
  • Group leaders. Many US pilgrims travel with a community group led by an imam or experienced guide who works with a service provider on Nusuk. We coordinate flights and hotels with that leader so the whole group's travel matches the program.

Hotels and distance to the Haram

For the Makkah nights before the pilgrims move to Mina, and for any nights after, hotels are best judged by the walk to the Haram. Properties on the courtyard or in the surrounding towers are a two-to-five-minute walk; hotels in Ajyad, Misfalah and Jabal Omar are ten to fifteen minutes on foot; hotels in Aziziyah, where many Hajj programs base their pilgrims because of its proximity to Mina, rely on a shuttle or the Mashaer train. In Madinah, most package hotels are within a five-to-ten-minute walk of the Prophet's Mosque. During the days of Hajj itself you will be in the tented camps at Mina and at Arafat and Muzdalifah, which your licensed provider arranges. We explain the hotel categories and their trade-offs on the call and match them to your budget and mobility.

For families, seniors and first-time pilgrims

Hajj is physically demanding, and the travel around it should not add to the strain. For senior pilgrims we arrange wheelchair assistance at every airport, aisle seats, longer connections where a short one would mean running, and hotels with elevators and short walks; our senior travel reservations team handles these requests every day. Families should tell us the ages of everyone traveling and any medical needs so seating and transfers are planned accordingly. First-time pilgrims usually have more questions about the process than about the flights, and that is fine; the call is where we explain the order of things, from Nusuk registration to visa to packing. We do not give religious guidance; your imam, scholar or group leader is the right source for the rites, and a guided group includes that support.

Group Hajj vs private Hajj

A group Hajj package means traveling with a mosque or community group on the same flights, under one leader, following one provider's program with shared transfers and hotels. It offers structure, company and an experienced guide through the rites, and it suits first-timers and large families. A private Hajj package means a family or couple booking their own place through Nusuk and traveling on their own flights and hotel choices around the provider's schedule, which suits travelers with fixed dates or specific comfort needs. For groups of ten or more we assign one coordinator, block seats and keep a single itinerary; see group travel flights for how large parties are managed.

Hajj Packages from the USA: frequently asked questions

Hajj 1448 is expected around May 14 to 19, 2027, with the Day of Arafah around May 15 and Eid al-Adha around May 16. The dates are approximate and are confirmed with the lunar calendar by Saudi authorities. Most US pilgrims arrive one to two weeks before and return in the two weeks after Eid.

In recent seasons pilgrims from the United States have registered on the Nusuk Hajj platform, the official system of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and chosen a package operated by a licensed service provider, paying inside their Nusuk account. Registration windows have opened several months before the season. We explain the current process when you call.

Our packages cover the travel: flights timed to your provider's program, hotels near the Haram in Makkah and near the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, transfers, assistance requests and guidance on the Nusuk registration and documents. The Mina and Arafat camps and the rites are arranged by the licensed provider you book through Nusuk.

Nonstop from New York takes roughly twelve hours. One-stop routings from Washington, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Detroit and Atlanta through Istanbul, Doha or Dubai take about sixteen to twenty-one hours in total; from Los Angeles about twenty to twenty-three hours with a stop, or around sixteen when a nonstop operates.

As soon as your Nusuk package is confirmed, ideally six months or more before May 2027. Seats to Jeddah and Madinah in the ten days before 8 Dhul Hijjah and out again after Eid are the most limited of the year, and the New York nonstop fills first. Book the return with the outbound.

Yes. We hold seats as a block so the whole group flies together, collect passport details in an organized way, coordinate dates with the provider's Makkah and Madinah schedule, seat families together and manage changes as the list firms up. One coordinator handles the group from first call to return.

Yes. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates, with blank pages available. Because Nusuk registration requires uploading your passport, renew early if it will expire within a year of Hajj. Renewals can take weeks, so check this before anything else.

A quadrivalent meningococcal (ACWY) vaccination has been required for Hajj pilgrims, given at least ten days before arrival, with proof carried in your documents. Additional seasonal requirements can apply and are set by Saudi health authorities. We confirm the current list when you book; your doctor can advise on your own needs.

It depends on your provider's program. Programs that begin with a Madinah stay use a Madinah arrival and a Jeddah departure; programs that go straight to Makkah use Jeddah both ways. We time your flights to the arrival window your provider sets and coordinate the transfer between cities.

We arrange wheelchair assistance at every airport, aisle seats, longer connections, hotels with elevators and short walks to the Haram, and we pass assistance needs to your provider. Tell us who is traveling and what they need, and we note it on every segment of the journey.

A group package means traveling with a community group on the same flights under one leader and one provider's program. A private package means a family or couple books its own Nusuk place and travels on its own flights and hotel choices around the provider's schedule. We coordinate both.

Call +1 (323) 800 6001 any time. Tell the expert your departure airport, whether you have registered on Nusuk Hajj yet, your group size and any assistance needs. We plan flights, hotels and transfers around your provider's program, explain the documents and deadlines, book it and email your confirmations.
