Hajj and Umrah travel packages from Fond Travels cover the travel side of your pilgrimage: flights from the US to Jeddah or Madinah on major airlines, timing around the pilgrimage calendar, coordinated group departures, and help lining up accommodation and ground arrangements with your package provider. You call, tell an expert your city, your intended dates or season, and your group size, and we handle the logistics so you can focus on the journey itself. This service is for individual pilgrims, families, and community groups traveling from anywhere in the United States. We are an independent US travel agency with experience in the routing, seasonality, and group needs specific to pilgrimage travel, and our phones are answered 24 hours a day.
Who this is for
This page is for anyone in the US planning Hajj or Umrah who wants the travel handled carefully by a real person. That includes first-time pilgrims who are not sure where to begin, families taking elderly parents who need assistance and a gentle pace, and mosque or community groups organizing a departure of ten, twenty, or more people from the same city. It is also for travelers combining Umrah with a visit to family elsewhere, or with a stop in another city on the way home. If you have already chosen a Hajj or Umrah package provider and simply need the flights and coordination done well, we can work alongside them. If you have not, we can help you understand the pieces and how they fit together.
What's included when you book with us
- Flights from your US city to Jeddah (JED) or Madinah (MED) on major airlines, with routing compared for connection time, total journey length, and comfort.
- Timing guidance around the pilgrimage calendar, including Hajj season, Ramadan, and the quieter months when Umrah travel is typically easier to book.
- Coordinated group departures for families and communities, with everyone on the same flights where possible and seats arranged together.
- Visa and permit guidance, including the documents you will need to gather and the order to do things in; ask us about current requirements, as they change from season to season.
- Accommodation coordination with your package provider or hotel, so arrival dates, check-in times, and transfers line up with your flights.
- Assistance requests for elderly travelers and anyone with mobility or medical needs, added to the booking and confirmed with the airline.
- Baggage guidance, including allowances on your fare and practical advice on carrying ihram garments and essentials in your hand luggage.
- Confirmations sent to each traveler, and one number to call before and during the trip if anything changes.

What to know before you book
Pilgrimage travel rewards planning. The points below are the ones that most often catch first-time travelers by surprise; we go through all of them on the call and tailor the advice to your situation.
- The calendar moves. Hajj takes place during Dhul Hijjah, and because the Islamic calendar is lunar, the dates fall roughly ten to eleven days earlier each year on the Western calendar. Umrah can be performed through most of the year, with Ramadan and the weeks around Hajj being the busiest and most expensive periods. If your dates are flexible, tell us and we will point out the quieter windows.
- Book early. Seats to Jeddah and Madinah from the US fill well in advance of Hajj and Ramadan, and fares climb as the dates approach. For Hajj, many travelers begin arranging flights and their package six months or more ahead; for Umrah in Ramadan, several months ahead is wise. Call for current pricing on your dates.
- Visas and permits. Hajj travel from the US is arranged through official channels and authorized providers, and Umrah travel has its own visa or e-visa process. Requirements, application windows, and fees change, and they are set by the authorities rather than by any travel agency. Ask us about current requirements and we will explain the steps and the order to do them in.
- Passports. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates, with blank pages available. Renewals can take weeks, so check this first.
- Health requirements. Vaccination requirements, such as meningitis vaccination, have applied to pilgrims in past seasons, and health entry rules can change. Ask us about current requirements and speak with your doctor about your own needs, especially for older travelers or anyone with a chronic condition.
- Elderly travelers and assistance. Wheelchair assistance at US and Saudi airports, aisle seats, and longer connections can all be arranged at booking. Tell us who is traveling and what they need, and we will note it on every segment and confirm it with the airline.
- Ihram on the journey. Many travelers prefer to change into ihram garments before boarding or during the flight, depending on their routing. If that is your plan, tell us, and we will keep it in mind when comparing connections and cabin options. We do not give religious guidance; your scholar or group leader is the right source for that.
- Ground arrangements. Hotels near the Haram, transport between Makkah and Madinah, and transfers on arrival are usually part of a pilgrimage package. We coordinate flight times with those arrangements so you are not landing at an hour your provider cannot meet.
Common situations we handle
A family taking elderly parents for Umrah. Two adult children in Texas want to take their parents, both in their seventies, during a quieter month. Our expert compares routings with a comfortable connection, arranges wheelchair assistance and aisle seats for the parents, seats the family together, and lines up arrival with the hotel's check-in time. The family receives one clear itinerary and knows exactly who to call.
A community group departing together for Hajj. A mosque in the Midwest is organizing a group of thirty through an authorized Hajj provider and needs everyone on the same flights. We hold seats for the group, collect names and passport details in an organized way, coordinate dates with the provider's Makkah and Madinah schedule, and manage changes as the group list firms up.
A first-time pilgrim who does not know where to start. A young professional in New York wants to perform Umrah but has never traveled to Saudi Arabia. We walk through the sequence, from passport check to visa steps to choosing dates, then compare flights and connect the traveler with the accommodation and transfer arrangements they need. The call ends with a plan, not just a ticket.
